I am the actress
playing in my own little movie.
I smile, I'm happy.
People around me (near me)
oh yes, they're acting too.
They act like they care for me
they act like they love me
but they only give empty words,
facets they hide behind.
But I can't blame them
as I do the same.
I smile and everyone
thinks I am happy and fine.
But come a litle nearer
look into my eyes and see
behind my curtain.
When the curtain falls
there's nothing to hide for me,
and you see who I really am ...
how I really am.
Then, only then
you will see:
I am not happy,
I am sad and worried.
I am just acting.
I feel that way a lot too...
we all put up a front sometimes, that doesn't imply that we are all unhappy, but we don't all show our true selves to everyone.
don't I know it, the people who know my true self I could count on the fingers of one hand. And one of those I only did because I had too much to drink and talked too much.
